Founder & CEO
AMER SAYED Founder & CEO following a successful 25 years career in the private banking sector, Amer Sayed has pursued his passion for aviation working as an aviation advisor on various projects over the last 15 years. As well as holding pilot license for over 20 years, Amer has developed an expertise in sustainable and green aviation. As founder & CEO of Aviation Education Pathways, Amer aims to inspire and encourage the next generation into an evolving and expanding sector by developing the relationship between education and aviation. Amer is fluent in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin) and English. He is a Honorary Fellow of the University of East London , Chair of General Engineering-Industry Advisory Board and a guest lecturer.

Danny Baker
Head of SIM Engineering
Danny Baker, Head of SIM Engineering at Ryanair with oversight over 4 Flight Training Centres across Europe which operate a total of 19 Full Flight and 9 Fixed Based Simulators. An additional two training Centres will be opened in 2025 which will add a further 8 Full Flight and 5 Fixed Based Simulators. Danny has over 20 years experience within flight simulation, which started by project managing simulator installations for Thales Training & Simulation and L3 where over 10 years he built long lasting customer relations within Boeing at Seattle, Miami, Shanghai, Gatwick and Singapore and airline operators such as ANA, Shanghai and Shenzhen Airlines and Air India. Eventually he took on the role of Flight SIM Engineering Manager at Stansted Airport which operates 8 full flight and 3 fixed based simulators. He held this position for 5 years before taking on his current role of the Head of SIM Engineering in 2023.

Captain Farhan Saif Hamed Al Shaheibi
Senior Aviation Executive
Captain Farhan Saif Hamed Al Shaheibi is the Founder & CEO of Glorious Wings International Services and a Captain with a major airline, bringing over 16,000 hours of flying and simulator experience. With a distinguished aviation career spanning more than three decades at Gulf Air and Oman Air, he has advanced from Boeing 767 cadet to Captain and Type Rating Examiner on Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft. Dedicated to shaping the next generation of aviators, he has successfully trained and placed over 180 pilots in national and international airlines. Captain Farhan remains committed to fostering aviation excellence and empowering future pilots

Dr Thamo Sutharssan
Chartered Engineer
Dr Thamo Sutharssan is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of East London, where he leads both the BEng in Aeronautical Engineering and the BSc in Railway Engineering. Previously, Thamo worked as a Lecturer at various higher education institutions, including the University of Portsmouth, Havering College, Derby College, and the Rolls-Royce Aerospace Academy. He contributed significantly to BTEC, HNC, HND, BEng, and MEng programs and participated in internal and external validation of the courses, assessments and inspections. Thamo has extensive experience in higher education in the UK, he has worked across all levels, from apprenticeships to PhD programs. With over 25 years of experience teaching Mathematics and Physics, Thamo has guided students in preparing for advanced-level exams, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and IB. He has helped students strengthen their fundamental understanding of these subjects and enhanced their problem-solving skills. Additionally, he has supported university applications, offering guidance in selecting the right courses to align with their career aspirations. Dr Thamo Sutharssan is a Chartered Engineer and has been a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology since 2001. He is also a chartered manager at the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Mr Martin Robinson
Senior Advisor
Martin is the Chief Executive Officer at AOPA with a strong business development background with over 30 years’ experience: With a demonstrated history of working in the aviation and aerospace industry. Experience in Aeronautics, Airport Management, Airspace planning and use covering General Aviation. As the project director for GAINS (General Aviation Improved Navigation and Surveillance) Martin was particularly involved with the cross-association Electronic Conspicuity Working Group. As the chair of the group they focused on the need for a future cooperative surveillance environment that improves situational awareness for General Aviation (GA ) pilots. As the project lead for GAGA (GNSS Approaches for GA) AOPA set about introducing LPV approaches into three UK GA aerodromes. Project GRIMASSE is a European project that seeks to improve SAR detection through improved satellite technology. AOPA coordinated the GA inputs in conduction with Thales and PILDO Labs. As a Participant in the CORUS Xuam project under a European contract that seeks to develop concepts around U Space which considered the existing airspace rules and what may need to change in order to accommodate UAS. In the UK Martin also represent AOPA at: NATMAC (National Air Traffic Advisory Committee) FSR (CAA Finance and Services Forum) GAP ( CAA GA Partnership) He is also a director of GASCO (GA Safety Committee) dealing with safety issues across the spectrum of GA. Martin regularly writes for the members magazine and other publications as well as various social media.

KT Lin
Sustainable Aviation Advisor
Kai-Tse (KT) Lin is a seasoned Intelligent Mobility designer with over 10 years of experience in problem-solving and innovation. As a co-founder of UK-based urban eVTOL startup Bellwether Industries and the mobility R&D centre BAMS Tech in Taiwan, Kai-Tse has been at the forefront of developing urban aircraft and broader transportation solutions. With a background in intelligent mobility and industrial design, he has spent many years developing urban aircraft, advancing through multiple generations of design and validation. Recognised in the Power Book 2023 by eVTOL Insights, Kai-Tse now focuses on global resource allocation and strategic operations at Bellwether to drive business expansion. Nominated as one of the Global Thought Leaders in 2022, Bellwether Industries is built to be a group of companies that aims to provide the best solutions for urban mobility. Changing the way people live and transport on a three-dimensional basis has been its lifetime mission to fulfil. As a global team, Bellwether now has a presence in the UK, Taiwan, and the UAE.

Nathan has worked and led multimillion-pound initiatives supporting tech entrepreneurs for the last 10 years. Stimulating the London tech start-up ecosystem supporting over 2000 companies across sectors who went on to raise north of £2bn. Founder and CEO. Through his career obtaining an understanding from translating IP from research to validation and commercialisation of health technology in public and private sectors.

Eur Ing Colin P Smith BSc(Hons) CEng FICE FCIHT MIConstM CTPP CEnv MIOA MAE
Colin has over 45 years of civil engineering experience, working principally as a consultant on the design and construction supervision of major infrastructure projects including ten years living in Qatar and leading the on-site consultant team for the extension of Hamad Airport. He is the founder and director of EAZ Consulting and he currently acts as a civil engineering adviser or expert witness in international construction disputes. Throughout his career he has been actively involved in the professional institutions in the UK and is a fellow and reviewer for both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. For the last 20 years he has been involved with both national and international accreditation of civil engineering university programmes through being an industry moderator for the Joint Board of Moderators. He is also a Liaison Officer for Engineering Council and was on the International Engineering Alliance panel that recommended Pakistan become a Washington Accord full signatory. He has published several papers and has lectured internationally.
Marlene Dos Santos Tavares
Assistant Executive to the CEO
With over 13 years of experience spanning the aviation industry and the UK public sector, Marlene brings a strong background in policy advisory and project oversight. She has extensive experience in coordinating high-level stakeholder engagement, ensuring regulatory adherence, and driving efficient project governance within the PMO. For the past four years, she has worked within the UK Government’s policy and project divisions, successfully managing assurance reporting for the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA). She has overseen the resolution of outputs from IPA Gated Reviews and Treasury Approval Points, ensuring compliance by monitoring and progressing recommendations. A core aspect of these roles has been fostering stakeholder collaboration, both internally and externally, to enhance policy implementation and project delivery.
